Would you like to know what the Navy is up to today?
Well, join the Master and other Coachmakers for an evening of Champagne, good food and nautical scuttlebutt (that’s gossip to non-Navy types) at the Royal Navy’s prime waterfront location, HMS PRESIDENT, 72 St Katharine’s Way, London E1W 1UQ.
For more detail about this establishment, see: https://www.royalnavy.mod.uk/president
The plan for the evening will be as follows:
1830 – arrive HMS PRESIDENT for Champagne Reception
1900 – 30 minute presentation hosted by Commodore David Elford OBE ADC Royal Navy, Naval Regional Commander Eastern England with members of the Royal Navy’s Presentation Team in support.
1930 – Question Time – the presentation will update you on current RN operations, highlight the future plans for the Royal Navy and hopefully will include news of HMS BULWARK’s future. Beyond that if you have a specific naval question that you have always wanted to ask, this is your chance.
1945 – hot fork buffet in the Wardroom Dining Room of HMS PRESIDENT, provided by The Cook and The Butler, perhaps the City’s finest catering company, while enjoying views of the London night skyline across the River Thames to Tower Bridge and St Katharine’s Dock
2130 – Carriages
This is a unique opportunity that has been organised specifically for members of the Coachmakers’ Company. As a result, numbers are limited so don’t delay, book today – or as they say in some circles: “them’s that’s keen, gets fell in previous”.
