Merchant Taylors scoop Prince Arthur Cup 2017

This year’s competition was held at Walton Heath Golf Club in May, where 49 Livery Company teams – 196 competitors – took part. The Prince Arthur Cup is a team competition playing 36 holes of golf as foursomes.

This year’s winners were the Merchant Taylors with a score of -3 with the Builders Merchants as runners up with a score of -5. On the day the weather remained dry until 3pm after which the forecast rain arrived. As ever Walton Heath was presented very well.

The prizes were presented by Tony Lister, Committee member and former Past Master of the Leathersellers. Philip Ashfield, Committee Chairman and Past Master of the Coachmakers was indisposed on the day.

We look forward to next year’s fixture on 17th May. Further details can be found at: www.princearthurcup.co.uk
